For the second episode of the second season, fall 2010, the musical series “Glee” decided to pay tribute to Britney Spears turning the plot around his songs. The stars of the series and regained some of his greatest hits. The episode had allowed “Glee” signing his record audience. But if times were rather well received by the public, the content of the episode itself, however, is subject to polemical side fans and even some American media.

Christened “Britney 2.0″, yesterday's episode stood out thoroughly first by the angle used in the plot. For if the first was especially interested in the moments of glory singer, recreating including clips “…Baby One More Time” et de son duo avec Madonna on “Me Against the Music”, scenario yesterday's episode was significantly darker. It indeed followed the descent into hell of Brittany, personnage campé par Heather Morris, unable to get out of his depression.
It all starts when Brittany decides she wants to shave her head because, he claimed, « hair it is useless if you can not have a high ponytail ». Fortunately, teacher Will Schuester stops time but the young woman is upset and takes it to another character using… an umbrella ! An image that recalls the attack again Britney on a car with the same engine. Photos that have toured the evil and reflected, at the time, the deep malaise American superstar.
The worst performance of his career
But it is not finished. In the episode of the season 2, actors reproduced delivery Britney Spears at the MTV VIdeo Music Awards on title “I’m a Slave 4 You”, service during which the singer had marked the spirits by landing with a yellow snake around his neck. But this time, This is another benefit, just as memorable but for the wrong reasons, that “Glee” decided to put in pictures. This is indeed the performance of Britney on the title “Gimme More” MTV VMA's 2007. The singer, unprepared, did not the sketch in a dance outfit unflattering and had even failed to fall. For many, this is the worst performance of the star.
And it is this provision that Brittany reproduced in the episode last night. It does not even pretend to sing live at the show and not dance in rhythm with the other members of the choir. At the end of the episode, Sam, campé par Chord Overstreet, discovers the real reason for the behavior of Brittany. The latter makes every effort to be able to believe it has bottomed and better from the ashes, a tactic which at least recognizes that Britney Spears, tubes between his shovel and his recent role as a juror in “The X Factor”, succeeded his return after this descent into hell…

J’ai trouvé l’épisode de Glee trop décevant et injuste pour Britney, elle ne mérite pas ça après toutes les choses qu’elle a traversée. In any case, quand ça sortira en DVD, il n’y aura pas beaucoup de monde à l’acheter. J’ai commencé à regarder cet épisodes et je n’ai pas pu continuer, tellement c’était horrible…

J’ai enfin vu cet épisode (mieux vaut tard que jamais!) Personnellement je n’ai pas eu une impression de moquerie. They, I think, voulu rendre hommage à la façon dont Britney a su se relever après toutes ces épreuves et “renaître de ses cendres”. Et pour montrer ça il fallait bien “montrer” la chute. D’autant que le scénario montre bien l’acharnement des gens de son entourage (ici Sue et le “reporter” du lycée) à la maintenir “au fond” et parallèlement l’énorme soutient qu’elle a pu recevoir. Après j’ai trouvé que le caricature de sa performance “ratée” au VMA était un peu too much mais n’oublions pas que Glee est une série décalée et souvent dans l’excès.
Voila mon ressentit par rapport à cet épisode. D’autant qu’ils ont fait de superbe reprises notamment “3″ and “Oops”. Il n’y a que leur version de “Crazy” que je n’ai pas trop aimé.
Otherwise, vous savez si l’équipe de Glee (production ou acteurs) ce sont exprimés sur cet épisode après la diffusion et la polémique? Avoir leur point de vue serait bien je trouve.
En tant que grande fan de Britney il faut aussi savoir être réaliste quand à son histoire qui nous a tous touchés et attristé, et ne pas se vexer quand on en parle, c’est une réalité qui fait d’elle ce qu’elle est autant que ses victoires, ses succès et ses moments de bonheur. Elle est juste humaine, comme nous tous.
